Quinn is 6 months old!
Quinn just went for his 6 month check-up and you know what that means - SHOTS (ouch!). Quinn was a good sport though and handled things pretty well. He was in the 75% percentile for his weight (20 lbs), height (27.5 in) and head circumference. Most importantly - he's a very healthy little boy. The doctor was also very impressed with his sitting and stomach crunches (guess it's not a 'normal' baby thing). She also said we could start feeding him finger foods - I'm sure he'll like that!
Quinn is such a joy to be around. He is always full of smiles and giggles and rarely complains. He's a big bundle of energy and it seems like something is constantly moving - his body or his mouth! While he's still not crawling, he wiggles himself all over the place and he's now rolling both ways (back to tummy and tummy to back). It's become quite a struggle just to keep him still long enough to put a fresh diaper on him! He loves to listen to himself jabber away - at all hours of the day! He's very strong-willed so I won't be surprised if he starts crawling soon...
Quinn still loves to eat. He loves his jarred baby foods and seems to prefer them cold (guess he's going to take after Mommy). He's tried Peaches, Pears, Applesauce, Bananas, Squash, Peas, Carrots, Sweet Potatoes, and Green Beans. Another fun treat he really enjoys are teething biscuits - but boy are they messy! We have to rush him right to the bath when he's done or I think Lucia would lick his face and hands off!
Speaking of Lucia, she and Quinn have become fast friends. He loves watching her and his face lights up when she stops by to give him a 'kiss'. Of course she's right by his side when he's eating, hoping he'll drop something. Odds are pretty good but I have to admit, it sure is nice having her take care of the mess :)
We've only had him for 6 months but it's hard to imagine what our life used to be like without him - he brings us so much joy. God is truly amazing.
