Quinn is 7 months old!

Quinn is doing great despite a rough month. He came down with Croup which was followed by an ear infection. But even when he's sick, he's still such a happy baby. Well, here's an update on what's new:

Quinn's just about ready to crawl. He loves to pull himself up onto all fours and rock but he just hasn't figured out how to move forward yet! Often he'll push himself backwards and end up much further away from whatever he was reaching for. When he's sitting he can almost twist into a crawling position but usually one of his legs stops him. We're guessing he'll get it all figured out any day now - then the fun begins! We're not sure how Lucia will respond to another creature roaming around on all fours - she might think he's playing a game with her!

Quinn loves to play with his toys and can get a little rough at times. He's really strong and loves to pound on things. It's fun to watch - well, unless you're the one being pounded on! He's really reaching and grabbing for things now. And it seems like the more "off-limits" the item is, the more he's got to have it! Quinn still loves to talk and usually makes his presence known everywhere we go. People don't seem to get annoyed though - must be that charming smile he throws their way :)

Quinn's still a great eater. He's become very interested in "adult" food. For the most part he just gets simple things like baby treats, cheerios, crackers, and pretzels. However, we've given him a pickle spear a couple of times and he really seems to enjoy gnawing on it. He really seems to like sour, salty things - just like his Mommy.

Well, that's about all I can think of right now. Hope everyone is doing well! We sure miss all of you!

Visit to Grandparents over Labor Day Weekend

We had a great time visiting Grandma and Grandpa! We sure kept busy but Quinn didn't mind - he loved all of the attention! Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa came up to visit us on Friday night. The next day we went to a festival in Naperville with Grandma and Grandpa where Quinn got his first balloon! Even just hanging out at the house was fun - Quinn loved all the great toys Grandma got for him. It was great to spend time with Kristen - she really went out of her way to see us throughout the weekend - what a great Aunt! We even had time for a fun visit with Dave and Pete's families.
