The power of "positive recognition"

I was Dr. Quinn's patient this afternoon. He did all the usual things... he pounded on me a bit, took my temperature, and gave me medicine. Then he came back with my "surprise" (one of his toys) for being good for the doctor. That was followed up by a "shopping present" (another one of his toys), with the same explanation - for being good at the doctor. Then a few minutes later I got a "potty present" (a third toy).

No wonder we have so much junk around here! Sounds like it's time to re-evaluate our reward system :-)

this is the funniest thing i have ever heard. I am down in Ok with Eric. He is gone to classes and i am just sitting alone in our room laughing out loud so hard my stomach hurts. Good thing you write these things down so you dont forget them one day.
