Swimming
We joined the pool this weekend. Quinn had an absolute blast! He couldn't contain his excitement or his energy... he was laughing and yelling so loud. We were by far the loudest gang at the pool... it reminded me of growing up, the Reardons never went unnoticed :-)
Quinn had fun splashing around in the baby pool, swimming with his float in the big pool, throwing and chasing after torpedos, and diving off the low and high boards. When I asked him last night what his favorite thing was, he replied "Jumping off that board. The big one if my favorite but I'm good at the little one too." Have you ever met a modest 3 year old? lol

Southern Drawl
All of a sudden Quinn has started speaking with a southern drawl. Not sure where he is picking it up from but it's definitely there! Anxious to see if people notice it when we are back home for the fourth...

Happy Father's Day!
We had a fun fathers day. We caught a Durham Bulls baseball game with some friends. Before the game, we went Dick's where Quinn got a real baseball glove with a ball. He wore it the whole game hoping to catch a ball. We sat along the first base line, towards the outfield in the 1st/2nd row. The pitchers walked by the boys on their way to warm up and would give them five or pat them on the head. We were hoping the outfielders would toss a ball our way but we didn't see too much action in the outfield. Quinn really enjoyed the game but it was super hot (100 degrees at 5pm) so we didn't stay for the full game. We left during the 7th inning and walked over to one of our favorite restaurants, Mellow Mushroom.
After dinner we headed home and gave Daddy his gifts. Quinn picked out a nice silver cross for him. Coincidentaly, Quinn had gotten a fake silver necklace out of a gumball machine (he was hoping for one of the little people they had in there). He insisted on wearing it for the rest of the day... it was so funny to see him with a silver chain around his neck. After Jason opened his, he was so excited that everyone had a necklace. He wanted to see his cross that his Nona had got for him, so in some of the pictures he's got two on :-)
All in all it was a fun day. And Quinn is totally into Baseball now :-)
