Innocent in the eyes of a 3 year old

During Christmas break I got into a minor car accident. The most unfortunate part was that it was my in-laws car that suffered the damage. When I got back to their house after the accident, Quinn was full of questions. "What happened?", "How come you hit that car?", "Were you wearing your seatbelt?",... I did a quick renactment with some matchbox cars (he even had one that gets a dented bumper when you crash it) and explained what had happened. His questions then turned to "Why did that girl stop and make you hit her?", "How come that girl wasn't a good driver?",...

In Quinn's mind there is always someone at fault for every unfortunate situation and it's usually pretty black and white to him. Oh, and things are never his fault either... If he trips on something someone gets blamed for putting it there. In most cases he was the one to leave the item but usually Jason or I get blamed first and when we deny it then it's usually the cleaning lady's fault. They take the hit for a lot of happenings in our house. So although it shouldn't have been suprising, I thought it was kind of funny how quickly I became the "victim" in the car accident...
