and it's only 10 am

Quinn's been very loving to Allison this morning. He spent some time building an elaborate house setup for her and her babies. In fact Allison came running to get me cause he was trying to carry her huge kitchen up the stairs by himself. He made it to the first landing and was still trying when I caught up with him. Now they are working on art stuff and he's patiently "teaching" her about art.

Allison on the other hand has already been in the time out chair 3 times so far this morning:
1. For freaking out about the color of her breakfast bowl (she insists on the red one simply because Quinn picked it out).

2. For punching Quinn after I told her to get in the time out chair after the bowl freak out (even though Quinn wasn't involved and was using a blue bowl).

3. For mooning us with a booty shake (a very disturbing habit she thinks is hilarious).

It's only 10am... I'm interested to see where the day goes from here :-)

the 80's

Allison was wearing her Dora baseball cap backwards which spurred the following conversation between Quinn and I...

Quinn: "Mom, doesn't she [Allison] look so cute with her hat on backwards. She looks like someone from the 80's!"."

Me: "What does 80's mean?"

Quinn: "I don't know."

religion

Quinn and Hayden were trying to setup a play date in the car the other day and the subject of Sunday School came up. Quinn was asking Hayden about his Sunday School. We haven't talked much about different religions and Hayden is Jewish so I was interested where the conversation was going to go... After affirmation that he gets to play during Sunday School, Quinn asked if they talked about God and Jesus. Hayden patiently answered Quinn's questions and simply stated that they don't talk about Jesus. Then just as quickly as it started the conversation turned to Mighty Beans. Shortly after, while we were getting out of the car, Quinn pulled me aside and said "I don't think he's going to a very good Sunday School. They don't even talk about Jesus! And he's the most important one! You might want to let Susan know.". Then he walked away to play with his best bud.

Allison's nose

Quinn to Allison:

"You have a cute nose Allison. I think it's perfect... for being that big."
