Why?

Allison isn't a girl of many words. I'm sure this leads to some extra whining now and again but for the most part she quite aptly gets her point across and her demanding needs met. Quinn was slow with his speech too so I'm guessing it's a genetic thing (they got from their father :-). Anyway, just yesterday Allison got a new favorite word: "Why". Oh the power of that one little word. With a single addition to her vocabulary the conversation can go on forever now. She asks "Why?" to EVERYTHING. I don't know if it's because it's new and she likes saying it or if she's really curious. Either way I'm running out of answers and it's driving me NUTS!

Another one she threw at me tonight had me busting up. Papou is visiting us and likes Orange Pop which he shared with Allison last night. Tonight she asked for some more and as I was getting it out, I simply stated to myself (or so I thought) "I don't know about this, Papou likes to drink from the bottle.". To which she quickly replied "Ohhhh, really?"

Since we're on the topic of talking, I'll throw in Papou's favorite. Whenever Allison needs (or wants help) she says "Help. Help me.". It's always two helps. Papou thinks it's super cute. But then again, I think Allison's got him wrapped around her finger.

Pizza Man

Perhaps this is alarming, perhaps it's an elaboration of a memory. I haven't been able to quite piece it together but here's how it goes...

Whenever we pass the Red Roof Inn at I-40 and 55 (which is most typically after I've picked up Allison from Ms. Brenda's and we are on our way to pick up Quinn from Kumon) Allison and I have the same conversation:

Allison: "Pizza Man! Pizza Man at Hotel"
Me: "What is the Pizza Man doing at the hotel?"
Allison: "Pizza Man tickle me! hee-hee, hee-hee" (although on rare occasion it's "Pizza Man hug ME".

Creepy.

face swapping technology

Out of the blue Quinn informed me of an awesome new computer he saw a commercial for on TV. According to him it lets you change people's faces in your pictures (I think it's the Windows 7 ad).

Quinn: "Like when I'm not looking good or make a silly face but everyone else looks good, you could find another picture of me with a nice smile and change it. Wouldn't you love it!?! Then you could fix the beach pictures!"

So perhaps we were a little to obvious talking about Quinn's mood and smile difficulties during our last photo shoot at the beach...
